Rodolfo de Matteis was born in Italy in 1957. Since boyhood, his life has been characterized by extraordinary experiences and sometimes very painful ones; however, these experiences motivated him to follow a spiritual path and calling.

Rodolfo began a meditation practice and started writing poetry at the age of 13. Well known as a student a revolutionary leader. In early adulthood he left his anthropological studies at the University of Rome La Sapienza to dedicate himself to “autology” (self-knowledge). He moved to India where he spent 13 years as a yogi on the sadhu path making pilgrimages and staying in holy places of power in the Himalayas and Thar desert.

Lived a long time in the village where the Dalai Lama is exiled. In Goa lived two years as in-charge baba of the holy Banyan Tree, one of the oldest in the world; was active part in the birth of naturists’ communities and the first Goa Raves.

In Italy Rodolfo worked as a teacher of Tantric Yoga at Università della Preghiera (the University of Prayer). He also taught privately in the cities of L’Aquila, Alghero and Pescara. He is been jailed for 15 months in Goa in 1990, risking a sentence of 20 years as a victim of the War on Drugs: in his acquittal the Supreme Court mentions for the first time the concept of personal consumption in India; of this experience he relates in his novel ASSURBAN.

In Italy in the ‘90s creates one of the first web dominions www.2mila8.com (precursor of blogs, myspace and on-line music); participates to the Luther Blisset Project, for which he will be sued and sentenced in the infamous '98 Italian Internet Crackdown.

Rodolfo has been living in Mexico for the past 20 years in a community of spirits and shamans. He became a certified healer through the teacher David Elliott and was entitled firstly Reverend, funnily said raverend, and then that of Maestro. This entitlement, issued under the authorithy of the state of Florida, legally enables him to perform sacerdotal functions.

With the center of studies MultiReal guides spiritual retreats and ceremonies in the holy desert of Wirikuta, the so called "Heart of Mexico", where the teacher plant Peyote cactus grows. He is called by the Wixaritari (Mexican Natives, called also Huicholes and Guardians of Peyote): "Wirikuta Mieme Wamuwieri Mu Eke" in English "The Wind of the holy desert of Wirikuta raising the Feathers of the Muwieri" (the Muwieri is that stick with attached feathers the shamans Wixaritari use to give healings and blessings.

He has been initiated in Gabón to the Bwiti tradition, based on the Holy Wood of Africa: the Tabernanthe Iboga, where he got the spiritual name of Akón Nvoua, Pillar of Peace, and is guiding Initiatic Ceremonies of encounter with the Holy Wood in Mexico and Spain.

He gives Kambo treatments, too, along the traditional Amazonian approach, learnt in teh Peruvian jungle with don Lucho Jimenez, Medicine Man of the Matsés tribe, that encounter civilzation only in 1969.

He has taught various workshops on topics such as Creative Development, Yoga and Meditation. He also leads Healing Circles in Italy, Mexico, Guatemala and online. Rodolfo offers Aura Healings both in person and online. With the Center for Studies MultiReal he guides spiritual retreats and ceremonies in the holy desert of Wirikuta, also known as “The Heart of Mexico.”, where the entheogenic cactus Peyote grows. He gives Kambo treatments, too.

He is writer and poet, publishes in Italy the collection of tales VISIONOIR, and that of poems OVERDOSE d'ARANCIATA, and in Mexico the book NACÍ EN TENOCHTITLAN, OTRA VEZ; on top of various booklets. The truth-novel about a jail adventure during the end of the ‘80s in India: ASSURBAN waiting to be published, while he has just finished the novel BLACK RAINBOW. In November 2010 organizes in Mexico City the Festival de Poesía y Actos Poéticos: Los Muertos Pueden Poetar; and starts his radio program Transmundo Express Café, on the waves of Radio Zapote in Mexico and Radio IndyGesta in Italy. He is an internationally known performer and has an intense activity of Action Art, videomaking, poetry readings and radio transmissions. Gives workshop ZERO VAMPYRES: performance Art of Action and Liberation in the Centro de las Artes Centenario in San Luis Potosí Mexico.
